General assessment of insurance companies
This section contains information on the risk assessment of MTIBU member insurers in the form of an overall assessment consisting of 5 indicators:
- Indicator "Quality of claims settlement", share of participation in the overall assessment - 25% ;
- Complaints rate, share of participation in the overall assessment - 25%;
- Portfolio Growth Rate, share of participation in the overall assessment - 15%;
- The share of premiums on MTPL insurance in the total portfolio of the insurer, the share of participation in the overall assessment - 10%;
- Share of MTPL insurance contracts concluded at reduced rates, share in the overall assessment - 25%.
The assessment is carried out by the MTIBU Directorate on a quarterly basis, as of the last day of the reporting quarter, after the close of the reporting period for the last month of the relevant quarter, based on data entered by insurers into the MTIBU Central Database.
General assessment - reflects the performance indicators of an MTIBU member insurer exclusively under internal contracts for compulsory insurance of civil liability of owners of motor vehicles (CTPCML), and is not an indicator of the riskiness of the insurance company as a whole.
